Photo contest on Vietnamese army launched

The General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army has launched a photo contest to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army (1944- 2024).

The contest is open to both professional and amateur photographers who are Vietnamese citizens or Overseas Vietnamese.

Contestants are requested to submit entries in the two categories of photojournalism and artistic photography, capturing the operation and activities of Vietnamese people’s army and the coordination between the army and police force in realising their military and defence tasks.

The photos should be taken between January 1, 2020, and September 30, 2024. Each contestant can send no more than five single photos or collections of five to eight photos in each category.

Submissions should be sent to website www.cuocthianh80namquandoi.com before September 30, 2024.

The organising board will determine the top 80 entries for the final round and award 48 prizes to the best entries.
