The event is jointly held by the Hai Phong city Journalists’ Association and the Club of Photojournalism to mark the 78th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944-2022).

Works on display include 40 pictures by photographer Nguyen Duc Nghia, deputy head of Hai Phong city’s Club of Photojournalism, and more than 10 photos by other photojournalists.

The photos were taken during their recent trip to the Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago and DK1 platform. They capture the life, practice, and combat readiness of the force to safeguard the country’s seas and island of soldiers stationed there.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen Duc Nghia said that through his works, he wants to honour the Truong Sa soldiers and the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, thus spreading the love for the motherland’s seas and islands amongst younger generations.
