The ceremony marked the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975– April 30, 2025).

Organised by the Hanoi’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the event drew the participation of nearly 700 union members, young people, and armed forces personnel of the capital. Representatives from city departments, agencies, mass organisations, families under preferential policy families, and revolutionary contributors were also present.

On the occasion, the Hanoi Communist Youth Union presented 20 gift packages to families under preferential policies, war invalids, and families with meritorious service to the revolution — each package was valued at 1 million VND along with meaningful gifts.
