Thanh starts work from early in the morning, where he stands ready to transport sick or injured people to hospitals or emergency facilities for treatment.

While on duty, he must choose the shortest and fastest route to reach the pickup location.

An ambulance driver must have good driving skills because the driving of the ambulance has a potential effect on patient health, wellbeing, and safety.

“While transporting patients, you have to place your heart into your work,” Thanh said.

Ambulance drivers must also have the ability to remain calm under pressure and reassure frightened patients.

After finishing a trip, the ambulance is cleaned and disinfected.

The equipment inside the ambulance is also disinfected before being ready for the next trip.
