Congratulating Laos on its successful assumption of ASEAN Chair 2024 and hosting of the summits, PM Chinh suggested continuing to educate future generations about the profound relations between the two countries’ Parties and people, considering it an invaluable asset of the two nations that have stood shoulder to shoulder through the past struggles for independence and the current national development; and supported each other in building independent, self-reliant economies that are well-integrated globally.

As Vietnam is translating the outcomes of the September meeting between the two Politburos into action, he said both sides should enhance the exchange of experience between the two Parties, particularly in human resources training, as part of preparations for the Party Congresses at all levels in the lead-up to the National Party Congress.

Bounthong Chitmany, for his part, expressed deep gratitude for Vietnam's timely and effective support, which has been instrumental in Laos' past liberation and current development, including its role as ASEAN Chair in 2024.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the strong cooperation across various sectors between the two Parties and States, especially in politics, economy, trade, national defence-security, Party building and personnel training.

Amid the complex global and regional landscapes, they agreed to continue coordinating on high-level agreements and sharing experience in policy making and national development, with a focus on key projects to deepen the practical and effective partnership between the two countries.
