PM Chinh congratulated Brabeck-Letmathe on his new role and expressed confidence that WEF will remain a prestigious platform for global dialogue, effective public-private connectivity, and multilateral cooperation.
He welcomed the theme and priorities of WEF Tianjin 2025, saying they reflect key global and regional economic issues and align closely with Viet Nam’s current policy direction. The PM affirmed Viet Nam’s appreciation for the WEF’s role and noted with satisfaction the deepening and increasingly substantive partnership between the two sides.
Chinh proposed that WEF support the effective operation of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City, aiming to position it as a leading model within WEF’s global network and a driver of advanced technology adoption in key sectors of the future economy.

He also suggested enhancing connectivity between Viet Nam and global enterprises through WEF, attracting high-quality investment, and upgrading the HCM City Economic Forum into an annual WEF Autumn Meeting.
Brabeck-Letmathe thanked PM Chinh for attending WEF Tianjin 2025 and praised Viet Nam’s active and constructive engagement at WEF meetings over the years. He also commended Viet Nam’s flexible and effective economic governance, as well as its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification, and multilateralisation.
He pledged to accelerate the implementation of the 2023 Viet Nam-WEF Memorandum of Understanding signed in Tianjin, focusing on practical, result-oriented projects, and to expand Viet Nam’s collaboration with other WEF members and partners.
In his meeting with WEF President and CEO Borge Brende, PM Chinh received praise for Viet Nam’s strong economic performance, particularly GDP growth exceeding 7% in 2024, and its ambitious double-digit growth targets, in contrast to the global trend of economic slowdown.
Brende affirmed that Viet Nam continues to attract strong interest from the WEF and its business community. He noted that PM Chinh’s dialogues at WEF over the past three consecutive years had left a powerful impression and inspired greater understanding of Viet Nam’s policies, encouraging businesses to explore investment opportunities in the country.
He also highlighted Viet Nam’s role in hosting the WEF-ASEAN 2018 and expressed hope to jointly organise another major WEF event in Viet Nam in the near future, helping further expand Viet Nam’s cooperation with WEF members and partners.
