According to information released during the press briefing which was held by the Viet Nam Youth Federation, the Viet Nam Youth with Disabilities Association and TCP Viet Nam Co., Ltd., this year's programme incorporates a wide range of practical activities.
A key highlight is the companion initiative, Vietnamese Young People with Disabilities Start Up in the Digital Era, which runs from June to December 2026. The initiative is designed to support young people with disabilities who have start-up ideas or projects requiring investment capital, technology, management skills and business administration training. It also assists those seeking to expand their businesses and improve their online sales and social media marketing skills.
The four most outstanding projects or business ideas will each receive support worth 50 million VND in cash, equipment and production tools, together with professional mentoring, training and assistance in connecting their products with potential markets.
Another activity, Colours of Willpower, will highlight and share inspiring stories of previous Toa Sang Nghi Luc Viet faces across social media platforms, helping the public better understand the determination and resilience of young people with disabilities in overcoming life's challenges.
Through the Talent Search for Young People with Disabilities competition, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in music and the arts, gain confidence in expressing themselves and convey a powerful message about the abilities, resilience and important role of young people with disabilities in society.
A major new feature of the 2026 programme is the two-day Toa Sang Nghi Luc Viet Festival, scheduled to take place in Ha Noi in mid-September. The festival will feature an exhibition of start-up products created by young entrepreneurs with disabilities, career guidance, start-up and digital transformation consultancy, a seminar on supporting entrepreneurship among young people with disabilities in the digital era, an inspirational speaker competition, as well as free medical consultations, health check-ups and gift presentations.
According to Nguyen Kim Quy, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Permanent Vice President of the Viet Nam Youth Federation, this year's programme will honour 25 outstanding young people with disabilities aged 35 or under who have demonstrated exceptional determination in overcoming adversity, achieved outstanding accomplishments and made recognised contributions to society. Each honouree will receive a certificate of merit from the Viet Nam Youth Federation and a savings passbook worth 10 million VND.
