Despite challenging weather conditions and complex mountainous terrain, both sides carried out the patrol safely and effectively. The patrol focused on inspecting border markers, boundary signs, and landmarks along the national border, while directly discussing and agreeing on relevant issues on the ground.
The two sides coordinated closely to patrol and monitor the border, check the system of national border markers and boundary signs, the border alignment, and associated infrastructure as defined by the Viet Nam-Laos Joint Committee on Land Border Delimitation.
They also exchanged information on national border management and protection, as well as the political security and public order situation in border areas on both sides.

Inspections at markers No. 460, 461, 462 and boundary post 460/1 confirmed that all markers and border signs remained intact, with no signs of shifting or damage. No incidents of illegal cross-border farming, settlement, or logging, or any other border regulation violations were detected.
On the occasion, the Nghe An Border Guard Command introduced a pilot model called the “Border marker inspection and protection path” to be implemented near marker No. 461.
