Saudi Arabian National Day celebrated in Hanoi

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held a ceremony in Hanoi on September 22 to celebrate the country’s 93rd National Day (September 23).

Speaking at the celebration, Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc reviewed the outstanding features of the country and people of Saudi Arabia, with its diverse nature and traditional culture, rich in identity, and the love for family and hospitality. The Deputy Minister expressed his joy at the positive developments in many aspects of Vietnam-Saudi Arabia relations.

Vietnam and Saudi Arabia will celebrate the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations in 2024, the Deputy FN said, adding that with the wishes and determination of the governments and people of the two countries, the Vietnam-Saudi Arabia cooperative relationship will continuously consolidated and developed in all fields for the common benefit of the two peoples, contributing for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the two regions and the world.

For his part, Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Vietnam Mohammed Ismaeil A. Dahlwy expressed his admiration for the achievements that Vietnam gained after the war and during the national reconstruction. From a country with numerous hardships, Vietnam has risen like a lotus flower and became one of the five largest economies in Southeast Asia, with a GDP reaching 409 billion USD in 2022, he added.

The Ambassador also expressed this hope that at, in addition to positive developments in bilateral relations, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam will exploit more potential areas of cooperation in the near future to match the relationship between the two countries.
