Deputy PM talks with Vietnamese students

Nhan Dan Online – The co-ordination among ministries, sectors and enterprises to create favourable conditions for students to practice, research, apply scientific products and find jobs will continue to be promoted.

This affirmation was made by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam at a dialogue with delegates to the ninth National Congress of the Vietnam Students' Association.

Representatives from the Ministries of Education and Training, Science and Technology, and Construction also attended the dialogue.

At the event, students asked many questions about scientific research and foreign language instruction in schools. They also brought up issues of student dormitories, employment after graduation and the role of students in protecting the country’s borders, sea, islands and territorial sovereignty.

The Deputy PM and leaders of these ministries provided additional information on the State’s policies and mechanisms related to student life, learning and employment.

Deputy PM Dam emphasised the role of students in the national development process. He also expressed his hope that every student would learn constantly and for life while training and nurturing great ambitions and dreams to be devoted to the country.

On the same day, the delegates took part in six seminars to share their knowledge and experience on building student organisations, maintaining good ethics and lifestyles and promoting physical exercise among students.
