Special art programme concludes Sen Village Festival

A special art programme was held in Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District, in the central province of Nghe An, on May 19 as the concluding event of the Sen Village Festival.

The programme was arranged into three parts named ‘May reminds of Uncle Ho’, ‘A Festival along Lam River’, and ‘From Sen Village to Ho Chi Minh City’.

The participating artists brought to the stage a selection of songs, dances, and stage plays on the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh, who devoted his whole life to national liberation and the country’s independence, freedom, and happiness.

The Sen Village Festival was jointly held by the People’s Committees of Nghe An Province and Ho Chi Minh City to commemorate the 134th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-2024).

Visitors to the week-long event participated a wide range of activities, including a flower offering ceremony at President Ho Chi Minh's monument, a parade to his hometown, an incense offering ceremony at Chung Son temple and Kim Lien relic area, a singing contest, a provincial volleyball tournament, and a traditional martial arts tournament.
