The event was co-organised by the Tuyen Quang provincial People's Committee, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission.
Participants at the symposium exchanged their opinions on solutions and plans proposed by the Ministry of Science and Technology, to implement the Government’s Resolution 96 and the Politburo’s Resolution 11, on facilitating socio-economic development, ensuring defence and security in the northern midland and mountainous region by 2030, with a vision to 2045.
They also discussed the strategy for the development of science, technology and innovation by 2030, as well as the building of an innovative ecosystem and ways to strengthen tourism links and tighten regional connectivity within the northern midland and mountainous region.
At the event, representatives from the northern midland and mountainous areas called for further support from ministries and sectors, as well as research institutes, universities, scientists, and businesses, to make breakthroughs in science, technology and innovation, thus promoting sustainable development throughout the entire region.
