The Ministry of Construction recently reported to the Prime Minister on the review and adjustment of the National Airport System Plan, aiming to establish 35 airports by 2050 to meet the needs of socio-economic development and ensure national defence and security.

The Government Office issued Notice No. 241/TB-VPCP (dated May 11, 2026) summarising the conclusions of Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc at a meeting on adjusting the national airport system plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
