Viet Nam attaches great importance to the fight against corruption, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh affirmed during a meeting on December 3 with a visiting delegation from Russia's Presidential Civil Service, Personnel and Anti-Corruption Directorate led by Aide to the Russian President Dmitry Mironov.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has described corruption, wastefulness, and negative phenomena as “internal enemies”, against which the fight is long term, difficult and complex, with prevention as the priority.

Viet Nam is soliciting input on the draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress, inviting intellectuals and overseas Vietnamese (OVs), including those in China, to weigh in on building a prosperous nation poised for a new era.
