According to the Mercantile Exchange of Viet Nam (MXV), the global commodities market on September 2 showed clear divergence. While coffee prices dropped sharply, global oil prices continued to rise, reaching their highest level since early August. By the end of the session, the MXV-Index increased by more than 0.4%, reaching 2,248 points.
The global Halal market, catering to Muslim consumers, presents significant export opportunities for Vietnamese businesses, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, food, cosmetics, textiles, and pharmaceuticals.
Coffee has once again emerged as a star performer among agro-forestry-fishery exports in the first half of 2025, with both volume and value registering strong growth despite ongoing global challenges in supply and climate conditions.
Viet Nam shipped 6.28 billion USD worth of agro-forestry-fishery products abroad in May, propelling the cumulative total for the first five months of the year to 28.04 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 19.6% and 15.1%, respectively, heard a press conference in Ha Noi on June 3.
