World Coffee Heritage Forum opens in Dak Lak

Dak Lak is known as the 'capital' of Vietnamese coffee, with rich, fertile basalt red soil ideal for agriculture. The coffee provides livelihoods for thousands of locals and has developed a unique cultural space, closely tied to the socioeconomic life, customs and identity of local communities.

Coffee prices plunge, energy market continues to rise

According to the Mercantile Exchange of Viet Nam (MXV), the global commodities market on September 2 showed clear divergence. While coffee prices dropped sharply, global oil prices continued to rise, reaching their highest level since early August. By the end of the session, the MXV-Index increased by more than 0.4%, reaching 2,248 points.

Many Vietnamese dishes listed in TasteAtlas' 2023 rankings

'Pho' (noodle soup), 'banh mi' (Vietnamese sandwich), 'Ca kho to' (Vietnamese fish braised in a clay pot), 'Lau ca tam' (sturgeon fish hot pot) and black coffee, along with several other dishes, have been listed by the world-famous culinary website TasteAtlas, among popular foods in the world in 2023.
