This is among the issues raised at the Cafe Show & Tea Show Ha Noi 2026, which will be held from October 8 to 10 at the Viet Nam Exposition Centre (VEC) in Ha Noi.

The event features around 250 booths showcasing more than 400 brands from 20 countries and is expected to attract over 30,000 visitors. Exhibits focus on raw materials, equipment, technology and solutions for the coffee, tea and F&B industries.

Cafe Show & Tea Show Ha Noi 2026 places simultaneous emphasis on raw materials, technology, equipment and human resources, reflecting the growing importance of each stage in determining the value of a beverage product.

For the coffee and tea sectors, significant potential for added value lies beyond the production of raw materials. Agricultural products can be transformed into higher-value goods through deeper processing, improved quality, preparation techniques, branding and access to higher-value consumer segments.

According to the organisers, connecting raw-material areas with technology, human resources and markets will help businesses make better use of the value of Vietnamese coffee and tea, rather than competing primarily as suppliers of raw materials.

The event will feature three national-level professional competitions, expected to attract more than 180 contestants and focus on coffee and tea preparation skills and quality assessment. They are the Viet Nam National Brewers Cup, Viet Nam National Latte Art Championship and Tea Masters Cup Viet Nam.

The Viet Nam National Brewers Cup assesses manual brewing techniques, extraction control and sensory evaluation. The Viet Nam National Latte Art Championship focuses on latte art and preparation techniques, while the Tea Masters Cup Viet Nam features tea preparation, sensory evaluation and creative tea-making.
