Viet Nam’s stock market officially upgraded to Secondary Emerging Market status

At 3:00 a.m. (Ha Noi time) on October 8, global index provider FTSE Russell announced that Viet Nam’s stock market had met all official criteria and been upgraded from Frontier Market to Secondary Emerging Market status.

Viet Nam chairs consultation session on review conference of treaty on nuclear non-proliferation

Ambassador Do Hung Viet, Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to the UN and designated President of the 11th Review Conference (RevCon11) of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), chaired the first informal meeting with member states of the treaty in New York on October 7 to discuss preliminary priorities, orientations, and consultation processes ahead of the conference in April 2026.
