Ghada Waly, outgoing Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), has praised Viet Nam’s proactive and constructive participation in negotiation and preparations for the signing ceremony of the UN Convention against Cybercrime recently held in Ha Noi.

At the invitation of President Luong Cuong, President of the Republic of South Africa Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa is paying a state visit to Viet Nam from October 23 to 24, 2025. This marks the first visit by a South African head of state to Viet Nam in nearly two decades and serves as a historic milestone in the deepening and substantive enhancement of Viet Nam–South Africa relations.
