Amid the festive atmosphere of the early days of the Lunar New Year, the “Xuan Que Huong” (Homeland Spring) programme 2026, which was held in Toyama of Japan, drew a large number of Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Toyama Prefecture, along with Japanese friends.

The year 2025 marked a pivotal juncture in affairs related to overseas Vietnamese, concluding the 2021–2025 period while laying comprehensive groundwork in terms of mindset, institutions and resources to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress. In the country’s development vision toward 2045, the overseas Vietnamese community has been positioned as a strategic companion in national development.

Amid the vibrant atmosphere celebrating the Party and welcoming the Lunar New Year of the Horse, the Consulate General of Viet Nam in Khon Kaen Province, Thailand, solemnly organised the “Homeland Spring Festival” programme 2026, featuring a variety of distinctive cultural activities.

Returning to Viet Nam to attend the Homeland Spring 2026 programme, many overseas Vietnamese from around the world could not hide their emotions at the warm welcome, the rich cultural experiences on offer and the country’s remarkable transformation.

Joining the joyful atmosphere welcoming the Lunar New Year of Horse 2026, Vietnamese embassies in Egypt, Japan, and Austria organised a series of events themed “Xuan Que Huong” (Homeland Spring), creating meaningful gatherings that brought warmth, unity, and a strong sense of national identity to overseas Vietnamese communities.

On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year of Horse 2026, the annual “Homeland Spring” programme was held in Mozambique and Sweeden, creating a warm and meaningful gathering space for overseas Vietnamese communities while helping to preserve national cultural identity and strengthen community bonds abroad.

A vibrant series of events themed “Homeland Spring” will run from February 1 to 28 at the Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Doai Phuong ward, Ha Noi, ushering in the Year of the Horse in 2026.

The Homeland Spring 2026 programme is set to take place from February 6–9 in Ha Noi and Ninh Binh, featuring a wide range of meaningful activities rich in national cultural identity and reflecting Viet Nam’s vision and development aspirations in a new era.
