The ambassador expressed his hope that the community would continue to nurture patriotism; remain connected to their roots; preserve Vietnamese cultural identity, traditions, and language; and further promote the positive image of Viet Nam, its people, and its culture among Egyptian friends.

He also called on the community to comply with Vietnamese and host-country laws, actively contribute to the Viet Nam–Egypt Comprehensive Partnership, and continue building a united, supportive, and closely bonded community that contributes to the prosperity of both nations.

Reviewing Viet Nam’s notable achievements in 2025, Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong highlighted the special significance of the year, marked by the successful organisation of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam. The congress set out strategic orientations for the country’s next stage of development, reinforcing national confidence and determination in the new era.

He also noted that Viet Nam–Egypt relations were officially upgraded to a comprehensive partnership in 2025 during the state visit to Egypt by President Luong Cuong, describing this as an important milestone that elevated bilateral relations across the fields of politics, security, defence, economics, and science and technology.

In addition to progress in trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges, science, technology, and innovation have been identified as new pillars of cooperation.

Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu expressed his pleasure at the growing strength of the Vietnamese community in Japan and its positive contributions to both Viet Nam’s development and bilateral relations.
