The ceremony was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France Trinh Duc Hai; Ambassador Nguyen Thi Van Anh, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Viet Nam to UNESCO and Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to the International Organisation of La Francophonie in Paris; along with officials and staff of the embassy and Vietnamese representative agencies in France.
The programme opened with an incense-offering ceremony at the President Ho Chi Minh altar room inside the embassy. Before his sacred spirit, Ambassador Trinh Duc Hai and officials and staff of the representative agencies reviewed the glorious revolutionary tradition of the Vietnamese nation under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and beloved Uncle Ho.
At the flower-offering ceremony before the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Montreau Park in the city of Montreuil on the outskirts of Paris, Ambassador Trinh Duc Hai expressed profound gratitude for the immense contributions and selfless sacrifice for the people and the nation of President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader of the Vietnamese nation, a national liberation hero, a steadfast and exemplary communist, and an outstanding world cultural figure.
Ambassador Trinh Duc Hai emphasised that this year’s flower-offering ceremony was even more meaningful as it took place as part of a series of activities marking the 115th anniversary of patriotic young man Nguyen Tat Thanh’s departure to seek a path for national salvation (June 5, 1911-2026) and the 80th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to France as an honoured guest of the French Government (1946-2026).
France is one of the places that bears a deep imprint of Nguyen Ai Quoc-Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary journey. Here, he lived, worked, studied and engaged in political activities, gradually finding the right path for national salvation while laying the ideological and political groundwork for the emergence of the Vietnamese revolution.
Before the statue of President Ho Chi Minh, Ambassador Trinh Duc Hai expressed deep respect and remembrance for President Ho Chi Minh, who devoted his entire life to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.
On this occasion, Ambassador Trinh Duc Hai sincerely thanked the authorities and people of Montreuil, as well as the leadership, officials and staff of the Museum of Living History, for their warm sentiments, attention and valuable contributions to preserving traces associated with President Ho Chi Minh in the locality.
The ambassador stressed that the valuable attention and support of the authorities and people of Montreuil and the Museum of Living History are a vivid symbol of the friendship and close bonds between the Vietnamese and French peoples, helping nurture and deepen the fine friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Montreau Park is a special historical and cultural symbol. On the occasion of major national events, Vietnamese representative agencies in France and overseas Vietnamese come here to express respect and gratitude for his life, career and contributions to the cause of Viet Nam’s national liberation, as well as to peace and progress in the world.
Inside the Museum of Living History in Montreau Park is the Ho Chi Minh Space, which preserves and displays many precious images, documents and historical artefacts associated with the years he lived, worked and carried out activities in France while seeking a path for national salvation.
