Speaking at the programme, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh said this was a practical and meaningful activity, helping new students better understand the study and living environment in China. He expressed his hope that Vietnamese students would make efforts in their studies, stay united, and proactively overcome difficulties and obstacles related to language, culture, and customs.
He also urged them to comply with Vietnamese law, the laws of the host country, and school regulations; actively participate in Youth Union, association, and Vietnamese community activities in China; and apply the knowledge and experience they acquire during their studies to contribute to their homeland.
Amid the country’s rapid, strong, and substantive transformation, with its vision and aspiration towards the two centenary goals, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh expressed his expectation that new students, starting from the smallest actions, would project a friendly and positive image of Viet Nam and its people to Chinese and international friends.
At the programme, representatives of the Party Cell, Youth Union Chapter, and Vietnamese Students’ Association in Beijing gave an overview of their activities, key tasks, and support programmes for the Vietnamese student community. Many questions related to study, daily life, consular procedures, and citizen protection were answered by representatives of the Embassy, the Youth Union and the association.
Notably, this year’s programme featured a lively quiz game with prizes introducing new students to the basic contents of Politburo Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW in an engaging and accessible format.
