In celebration of the 48th anniversary of the signing of the Laos - Viet Nam Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (July 18, 1977 – 2025), Pathet Lao - the official mouthpiece of the Lao News Agency - has published two editorials affirming the historical significance of the treaty and highlighting the special role of Laos - Viet Nam relations in the cause of safeguarding and developing the two nations.

Viet Nam’s official status as a partner country of BRICS - a bloc of major emerging economies - marks a strategically important move that helps enhance the country's position and amplify its voice in the international arena, said Prof. Ezequiel Ramoneda, President of the Latin American Association for Asian and African Studies (ALADAA) in Argentina.
