The proposal by the State Bank of Viet Nam to relax lending limits for large and key projects in the capital city of Ha Noi is attracting significant attention from policymakers and the financial market.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on December 19 attended a ceremony to simultaneously inaugurate, commence, or technically open 234 key projects and works across the country, during which he emphasised that this move affirms Viet Nam’s strong progress in building strategic national infrastructure, and reflects the stature, mettle and intellect of the Vietnamese people and their aspiration to continue conquering new heights.
Three major projects with non-budgetary capital include Can Gio Bridge, Phu My 2 Bridge, and the Rach Chiec Sports Complex, with total capital of over 117 trillion VND. They are expected to commence construction on January 15, 2026.
Dong Nai is currently mobilising all available resources to prepare for the launch of key projects, aiming to showcase concrete outcomes in time for upcomingnational celebrations. Beyond their technical value, these projects represent an important benchmark in the province’s goal of double-digit economic growth.
With strong determination and tireless efforts on the ground, key transport infrastructure projects are being acccelerated. Thanks to this proactive approach, many are expected to be completed three to six months ahead of schedule, creating strong momentum to help surpass the 8% economic growth target for this year.
UNESCO and SOVICO Group have signed two strategic cooperation agreements, officially launching two key projects on culture and education for the 2025–2030 period. These projects are within the framework of the 10-year strategic cooperation agreement between UNESCO and SOVICO signed in Paris in 2024.
