These two projects will contribute significantly to empowering the younger generation, strengthening the capacity of local organisations, and contributing to national policies, thereby creating a solid foundation for sustainable development in Viet Nam.
Accordingly, the project titled "Promoting the dynamic development of cultural and creative industries in Viet Nam" will support more than 10,000 young people, artists and creative entrepreneurs through training, consultation, and start-up support programmes.
The project will also modernise cultural spaces such as museums, theatres, and art centres, while promoting policy dialogues, creating a favourable environment for the development of cultural and creative industries in Viet Nam.
The project “Building happy schools for education innovation and sustainable development in Viet Nam” will develop a national policy framework for a positive, comprehensive, student-centred school environment, based on the UNESCO Global Happy School model.
The pilot phase will be implemented in at least 20 schools across all three regions of the country, with Victoria South Saigon School as a strategic partner. The schools will incorporate local cultural elements, promote a safe and humane learning environment, and focus on the mental health and happiness of students, teachers, and the school community.
These two projects mark an important step in building a creative, equitable, and inclusive ecosystem in Viet Nam, in which young people, women, and those working in the fields of culture and education are equipped with the skills to create positive change. With great potential from young creative human resources and rich cultural resources, Viet Nam has a great opportunity to promote sustainable development through culture and education.
