The event was organised by the NPO Association for the Promotion of International Friendship.

This is a large-scale annual cultural event, gathering dozens of international art troupes who are living, studying and working in Japan. The event serves as an opportunity for international communities to engage in cultural exchange, showcase national cultural identities through performing arts, and spread a message of solidarity, friendship, and the aspiration for a peaceful world.

This year also marked the 10th consecutive participation of the Viet Nam Association in Kansai, making a strong impression with performances rich in Vietnamese cultural identity, featuring the traditional Ao dai, folk songs, folk dances, and vibrant imagery of Viet Nam’s homeland.

Speaking about the event, President of the Vietnamese Association in Kansai Le Thuong said “Participating in the programme is not only a cultural and artistic activity but also a responsibility and pride of the Vietnamese community in Japan. Every year, we strive to prepare performances that convey the message of a peaceful, hospitable, and deeply integrated Viet Nam.”

The event attracted a large audience, including Japanese citizens, the international community, and friends who appreciate Vietnamese culture. Notably, young Vietnamese born and raised in Japan were also encouraged to participate in the performances, helping them preserve the Vietnamese language and maintain a bond with their cultural roots.

Continuing the spirit of connection, cultural value dissemination, and youth empowerment, the first Viet Nam–Japan Youth Forum will be solemnly held on August 9, 2025, in Osaka. The forum is co-organised by Vietnamese Association in Kansai and the Viet Nam Youth and Student Association in Kansai, under the patronage of the Consulate General of Viet Nam in Osaka and the Viet Nam Youth Federation.

The event is part of a series of activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025). The forum will provide a space for exchange and connection between the youth of Viet Nam and Japan, inspire patriotism and a sense of origin, and propose initiatives to enhance educational cooperation, preserve the Vietnamese language, and spread Vietnamese culture among the young overseas generation.
