Following the successful celebration of the August Revolution and National Day, Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang has sent a letter of thanks to Nhan Dan Newspaper, hailing the newspaper’s close and effective cooperation in promoting the military and defence strength of Viet Nam, as well as the noble image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers to people at home and international friends.

In the solemn and proud atmosphere of the 80th anniversary celebration of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, the resonant voice of President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence seemed to bring us back to that historic autumn of 1945.

Ha Noi will prioritise front-row positions for war veterans, the elderly, women, and children to watch the parade; and will provide drinking water, rations, and instant cakes to serve citizens and tourists attending the activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day in the capital.

A welcome ceremony was held at Cau Treo International Border Gate in the central province of Ha Tinh on August 16 for a delegation from the Lao People’s Army who came for training and participating in a military parade for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day of Viet Nam (September 2).
