Viet Nam is undergoing a strong transformation, shifting from a traditional energy-dependent economy to a green, low-emission growth model. Its commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 is no longer merely a political declaration, but is increasingly being translated into concrete and decisive actions.
A new initiative to accelerate climate technology investment in Viet Nam has been launched by the Ministry of Finance in partnership with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI).

As climate change becomes increasingly severe, nearly half of the world’s nations – accounting for approximately 80% of global emissions – have committed to achieving net zero emissions by the middle of this century. As one of the countries severely affected by climate change, Viet Nam is not standing on the sidelines.
At COP26, Viet Nam pledged to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable development and global climate action.
The Viet Nam Net Zero Forum 2025, themed “The carbon market in a new era”, brought together over 200 participants to discuss key solutions for achieving net-zero emissions.
