The Viet Nam Net Zero Forum 2025, themed “The carbon market in a new era”, brought together over 200 participants to discuss key solutions for achieving net-zero emissions.
Recent high temperatures coinciding with students’ summer break have increased power demand, causing many to worry about high electricity bills. In this context, authorities recommended that consumers use energy efficiently, change their power use habits and switch to devices with high energy efficiency.
The greening of export processing zones (EPZs) and industrial parks (IPs) to increase investment value, protect the environment and promote sustainable development is among the key goals in Ho Chi Minh City’s development planning for the new era, particularly following its administrative merger with Ba Ria–Vung Tau and Binh Duong.
Ho Chi Minh City is determined to enhance the added value of its existing industries and attract businesses to participate in high-tech, ecological, low-emission, and sustainable industrial sectors within its export processing zones and industrial parks.
In parallel with drafting a decree on emissions control for automobiles, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is preparing a roadmap for controlling emissions from motorbikes.
