Within the space of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the lacquer painting “President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence”, which has just set a Guinness World Record by young artist Chu Nhat Quang, recreates the sacred moment of the nation’s history through an emotionally charged visual language. Standing before the work, viewers can feel a deep sense of pride and reverence welling up inside.

Guinness World Records on September 4 officially recognised the large lacquer painting “President Ho Chi Minh Reads the Declaration of Independence” by artist Chu Nhat Quang as the world’s largest single-panel lacquer painting (non-assembled). The work is currently on display at the Ho Chi Minh Museum (Ha Noi) as part of the exhibition “Spring of Independence.”
