Party General Secretary To Lam attended a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of Viet Nam’s sports sector (March 27, 1946 –2026) in Ha Noi on March 28.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Gia Lai provincial People’s Committee, held an international press briefing in Hanoi on March 5 to introduce the Visit Viet Nam Year – Gia Lai 2026 under the theme "Mountains embrace the Sea".
With a total prize fund of 750 million VND (nearly 29,000 USD), the Victory Cup 2025 once again affirmed its status as Viet Nam’s highest sports honour and a true celebration of national sporting excellence.
A photo exhibition titled "Celebrating the Party, the Spring, and the Success of the 14th National Party Congress" opened on January 28 at the 29 Hang Bai Exhibition Hall in Ha Noi.
Exceeding its target with 38 gold medals, the Vietnamese para sports delegation concluded a highly successful campaign at the 13th ASEAN Para Games, further cementing its strong presence on the regional stage.
Looking back at 2025, the culture, sports and tourism sector faced many difficulties and challenges, but also achieved remarkably brilliant achievements, with the return of traditional culture, the explosion of artistic products imbued with national pride, spectacular breakthroughs, and new recognitions of the world.
The Vietnamese sports delegation made an impressive start to the December 16 competition day at the 33rd SEA Games, with rowing delivering the first gold medal of the day, further affirming the country’s strength in its traditional events.
Viet Nam’s female karatekas on the afternoon of December 14 defeated Thailand 2-0 in the women’s team karate event, securing the Vietnamese delegation’s third gold medal of the day.
The Viet Nam Paralympic Committee on September 22 held a ceremony in Ha Noi to mark its 30th anniversary (September 11, 1995 – 2025).
Viet Nam has won the silver medal in the women's 4x400m at the ongoing Asian Athletics Championships on May 29 in Gumi, the Republic of Korea.
