Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a high-level Vietnamese delegation departed Moscow for Ha Noi on the afternoon of March 25, 2026 (local time), successfully concluding the official visit to the Russian Federation.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung acknowledged the potential of cooperation between Vietnamese localities and Russia’s Perm Krai in processing industry, energy, chemicals, education – training, and people-to-people exchanges during a reception for Governor Dmitry Makhonin in Ha Noi on March 24.

Russia boasts strengths in technology and experience in building important strategic infrastructure that Viet Nam is interested in, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi emphasised, considering this as great potential for bilateral ties in the time ahead.

In recent days, the outcomes and positive momentum of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) have continued to resonate deeply within the Vietnamese abroad, including those in Saint Petersburg, a Russian city home to a strong Vietnamese community and boasting close cooperation and twinning ties with Viet Nam.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, head of the Vietnamese sub-committee of the Viet Nam – Russia Intergovernmental Committee for economic – trade and scientific – technical cooperation, and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Chernyshenko, head of the Russian sub-committee, talked over the phone on August 22.
