Bai Tu Long Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh has been named in the list of “7 Wonders of Southeast Asia for 2026” by Condé Nast Traveller.

Building on the strong recovery in 2025, when Viet Nam welcomed an estimated 21.5 million international visitors, the tourism sector has set an ambitious target of attracting 25 million foreign arrivals in 2026.

Viet Nam recorded 12.2 million international tourist arrivals between January and July, up 22.5% year-on-year, according to the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT).

Following more than two years of stagnation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnamese tourism has made an impressive comeback in 2022, with 96.3 million domestic tourists in 11 months, far exceeding all forecasts.
