New and attracting tourist products on offer to visitors for upcoming holidays

As travel demands are expected to increase sharply during the National Liberation Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1) holidays, locality and travel firms have completed preparations and are now ready to serve visitors with new and attractive tourist products during the upcoming four-day holidays.

On the morning of April 29, Hanoitourist Travel Company in coordination with the People's Committee of Bat Trang Commune in Gia Lam District launched a bicycle tour to explore the pottery village of Bat Trang. Visitors will start from Hanoi Opera House, cycling along the Red River dike to Bat Trang Village, where they can engage in various activities such as making pottery themselves and enjoying delicious local dishes.

Also this evening, the night tour of Thang Long Imperial Citadel will be resumed after a year-long hiatus caused by COVID-19 pandemic impacts. The 90-minute tour, named “Decoding the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long”, allows travellers to visit Doan Mon (Main Gate), the entrance to the king’s residence, for 1.5-hours, and learn about the site’s history, architecture, and functions.

Another highlight of Hanoi’s tourist products for the upcoming holidays is a 100-booth tourism gift trade fair of Hanoi, which is taking place at the pedestrian street area around Hoan Kiem Lake from April 29 to May 1.

In the outskirts of the capital city, a pedestrian zone of Son Tay Town will open to the public at a ceremony scheduled for April 30, featuring contemporary art performances, street music and folk dances. The 820-metre-long walking line stretches over Son Tay Town's Pho Duc Chinh and Phan Chu Trinh streets, the outer road of Son Tay ancient fortress, the flower garden in the town's centre, the central flower garden area square, and the front yard of the town's cultural centre and town's stadium square.

To date, most of the popular resorts in the areas of Son Tay, Ba Vi, and Soc Son have fully booked for the four-day holidays.

In Nghe An Province, Saigontourist Holding Company launched a tour bringing visitors from Ho Chi Minh City and other southern provinces to the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien relic site in Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District, in the central province of Nghe An.

In Ho Chi Minh City, newly-released helicopter tour ‘Admiring Ho Chi Minh City from above’ is already fully booked for the upcoming holidays. According to TST Tourism Company, helicopter tour, the first of its kind in the city, allows tourists to view the sprawling metropolis from high above at a price of 5 million VND (178 USD) per person.

Coastal tourist destinations are also popular choices of visitors for their upcoming holidays. Given the situation, the central coastal city of Da Nang 7 announced the ‘Enjoy Danang’ programme with the participation of more than 200 travel firms offering many professional services and products at promotional prices.

In addition, the city authorities have planned a wide range of entertainment events to greet tourists on the occasion, including the launch of My An night-time beach activities, a night street art show entitled ‘Light up Da Nang’, and a cuisine and beer festival.

Meanwhile, tourist spots in the Northwest provinces always draw great interest from holidaymakers who want to explore the scenic natural beauty and cultural diversity of ethnic minorities. From April 30 to May 14, a paragliding festival will be held over terraced fields in the mountainous district of Mu Cang Chai in Yen Bai Province.

Visitors to Yen Bai Province will be offered with assorted travel experience, including a 45-seat speedboat to Thac Ba Lake, a tour to the Van Hoi lotus pond in Tran Yen District, a trek to magnificent caves in Luc Yen District, colourful art performances, and a tea ceremony in Suoi Giang Commune, Van Chan District.

In Sa Pa Town, a magnetic tourist attraction in the northern Lao Cai Province, there will be a flower festival, a brocade fair, an exhibition of souvenirs and specialties of Lao Cai Province, and a street carnival.
