US issues final conclusion on anti-dumping duty review for wind towers from Vietnam

On August 12, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam under the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported that the US Department of Commerce (DOC) published its final conclusion on the second sunset review of the anti-dumping duty order on wind towers with HS codes 7308.20.0020 and 8502.31.0000 imported from Vietnam.

According to the Trade Remedies Authority, under this conclusion, the DOC determined that the cessation of anti-dumping duties on wind towers imported from Vietnam would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping, with a weighted-average dumping margin of up to 58.24%.

As such, new Vietnamese exporters (if any) should contact the US DOC for calculation of their specific duty rate when exporting to the country; otherwise, they will be subject to an anti-dumping duty of 58.24%.

Additionally, businesses can contact the Trade Remedies Authority for timely assistance.
