Gantsetseg Tsendsuren said that she and her family had twice travelled to Viet Nam to spend the winter and were captivated by the country’s natural beauty, development, and the friendliness and hospitality of its people. She emphasised that Viet Nam has always been a very special and extremely important friend and partner in Mongolia’s foreign policy.
The two sides currently organise numerous exchanges between pupils and students. Under the “Ambassadors 2100” scholarship programme, Viet Nam is one of the selected destinations. Around 45 Mongolian students are currently studying in Viet Nam, including 15 on presidential scholarships. Many have returned home after graduation to serve their country and have become vital bridges between the two countries.
Gantsetseg Tsendsuren also said that Mongolian people are familiar with and highly value a wide range of Vietnamese products, including rice, coffee, fresh and dried fruit, medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. She also spoke highly of Viet Nam’s manufacturing capacity and industrial development.
Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga expressed her gratitude for the respectful, thoughtful, and warm welcome extended by the Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia and his wife. She also said she was moved by the beauty of Mongolia and the warmth, sincerity, and hospitality of its people, as well as their efforts to preserve their cultural identity.
Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga emphasised that Viet Nam and Mongolia have enjoyed more than 70 years of friendship and became Comprehensive Partners in 2024. The Vietnamese people have always treasured the sentiments and support extended by the Mongolian State and people during difficult years. She also described the Ho Chi Minh President School No. 14 in Ulaanbaatar as a beautiful symbol of the enduring friendship between the two peoples.
The two spouses exchanged views on education, culture, and areas of mutual interest, while expressing their desire to deepen exchanges between women and peoples of the two countries.
On the same day, Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga and Gantsetseg Tsendsuren visited the Bogd Khan Palace Museum complex and the Winter Palace in Ulaanbaatar.
