At the meeting, Huan expressed his satisfaction with the increasingly substantive development of Viet Nam–Singapore relations, especially following the elevation of ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Highlighting the academy’s role, Huan affirmed its readiness to contribute more actively to strengthening bilateral cooperation in a more effective and substantive manner.

Regarding future directions, he proposed accelerating theoretical exchanges between the Communist Party of Viet Nam and Singapore’s People's Action Party to share perspectives on future trends, as well as innovating strategic-level personnel training. He suggested jointly designing training programmes to prepare Viet Nam’s leadership and management personnel for the 2026–2030 term.

The academy also plans to send trainees for field studies at exemplary business models. To promote academic diplomacy, Huan invited the ambassador and Singaporean enterprises to deliver lectures and participate in seminars at the academy, thus enhancing practical engagement for learners.

Rajpal Singh congratulated Viet Nam on the success of the 14th National Party Congress and Huan on his election to the Politburo and appointment as President of the academy.

Sharing priorities for his tenure in Viet Nam, the diplomat noted that Singaporean businesses are keen to expand investment, aiming to increase the number of Viet Nam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) projects from 22 to 30 this year, with a focus on the VSIP 2.0 model emphasising digital transformation and sustainable development.

He expressed his belief in Viet Nam’s development prospects, including its goal of achieving double-digit GDP growth, and reaffirmed Singapore’s willingness to cooperate and support Viet Nam in realising these ambitions for mutual benefit.

The ambassador also agreed with the academy’s proposals to organise training courses for provincial-level officials and to arrange field trips to VSIPs, combining theoretical learning with practical experience. He pledged to work with leading institutions such as the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy to implement these initiatives.
