He expressed his belief that relations between the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) and the FLN will continue to be strengthened, serving as an important political foundation for fostering more substantive and effective bilateral ties.

The ambassador thanked the FLN leaders as well as Algerian agencies and organisations for their support and close coordination throughout his tenure, which has helped further develop the traditional friendship between the two countries.

Khanh said he wishes to welcome FLN Secretary-General Abdelkrim Benmbarek to Viet Nam in the near future, saying that such a visit would help intensify high-level exchanges between the two parties and further deepen the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Algeria for the benefit of their people.

For his part, the FLN Secretary-General highly appreciated the Vietnamese diplomat's contributions during his tenure to promoting the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Viet Nam and Algeria.

He stressed that the solidarity and friendship between the two countries' people are built on a solid historical foundation, rooted in their shared struggles against colonialism and all forms of oppression, exploitation and domination in the past, as well as their continued commitment today to the goals of peace, independence, prosperity, social justice and sustainable development.

The FLN leader reaffirmed his party's determination to further consolidate and expand cooperation between the two countries. He also underscored that the FLN and the CPV will continue to closely coordinate in effectively implementing the contents of the cooperation agreement between the two parties, thereby strengthening political ties and expanding cooperation across a wide range of fields.

During the working session, the two sides also recalled their tradition of solidarity and mutual support during their respective struggles for national liberation. They agreed to continue promoting this valuable historical legacy by enhancing exchanges between younger generations, expanding cooperation between socio-political organisations, and fostering collaboration in the fields of economy, trade, investment, education, and people-to-people exchanges in the coming time.
