The event is expect to see the attendance of the MIC minister and Hanoi leaders, and will include an art programme and a drum-beating function.
A book festival will also be held to celebrate the third edition of the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, with the participation of 60 publishers featuring about 40,000 titles.
Discounts will be offered to help spread reading culture and encourage book reading habits during the festival from April 17-21.
At the Temple of Literature complex, there will be installations on the topic of books, including a display of six notable books on Vietnamese history, as well as spaces for electronic books and some outstanding titles.
Throughout the week, there will also be events to introduce books, conversations between authors and readers, and workshops on books and reading culture.
