The Vietnamese embassy in China held a workshop on August 20 on economic, trade, investment and tourism cooperation between the two countries.

The event was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to China Nguyen Van Tho, Secretary General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) Yang Xiuping, representatives of relevant ministries, enterprises and scholars of the two countries.

Speaking at the workshop, Ambassador Tho spoke highly of the positive development of Vietnam-China relations in recent years, especially in the fields of economics, trade and investment cooperation.

For her part, ACC Secretary General Yang Xiuping noted that Vietnam was an important member of ASEAN and a friendly neighbour to China, further adding that both countries have made significant contributions to regional economic growth.

The Secretary General highlighted that the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership was a catalyst for deeper trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

At the workshop, participants from both sides shared their views to further enhance Vietnam-China relations, especially in regards to shaping cooperation in trade, investment and tourism development in a stable, substantive and more effective manner in the future.
