According to Thomas Engelbert, Professor for Vietnamese Language and Culture at the University of Hamburg, the event aimed to promote traditional Vietnamese culture to international friends, thus helping them to learn more about Vietnam.

Visitors to the event had an opportunity to explore Vietnamese folk paintings, the arts of calligraphy, tea culture, traditional music and costumes.

They were also invited to learn the Vietnamese language and learn and partake in Vietnamese folk games.

An exhibiting space was set up at the event to introduce Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements over the past years, aiming to foster economic, trade and tourism links between Vietnam and Germany as well as other European countries in general.
