Vietnam Football Federation congratulates U23 champions

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) held a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on February 27, to congratulate the U23 team who recently secured the 2022 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U-23 Championship in Cambodia, after beating Thailand 1-0 in the final.

On behalf of the VFF Executive Board, Acting President Tran Quoc Tuan praised and congratulated the Vietnam U23 team, for accomplishing the highest achievements.

At the ceremony, coach Dinh The Nam, on behalf of the U23 team members, thanked the leaders of the State, Government, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and especially leaders of the VFF, agencies and clubs, for responding quickly to add players when the squad was affected by the COVID-19 epidemic.

He also expressed his thanks to businesses, expatriates in Cambodia, and fans from across the country, for their support in helping players recover and always accompanying and cheering for the team.

At the ceremony, the VFF awarded 2.7 billion VND (over 118,000 USD) to the team.

In addition, businesses and sponsors also presented prizes to members of the team.
