At the meeting, Ambassador Saadi Salama congratulated Nhan Dan Newspaper and Le Quoc Minh on his new position, expressing his belief that Nhan Dan Newspaper will achieve new successes in the future.
The Ambassador expressed admiration for Vietnam's struggle for national independence and unification, as well as Vietnam's achievements in renewal, development and international integration. He said that Vietnam's achievements are a source of strong inspiration and motivation for Palestine to believe in its future.
Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh, who is also Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, showed his pleasure to welcome Ambassador Saadi Salama while emphasising Vietnam's stance of supporting the just cause of Palestine.
The Editor-in-Chief said that Nhan Dan Newspaper is assigned the task of being the main multimedia press agency, playing a leading and guiding role, in the context of information explosion on current social networking platforms.
The newspaper is actively innovating and applying digital technology to reach and attract more readers, especially younger people, thereby widely and effectively disseminating the Party's guidelines and the State's policies, Le Quoc Minh noted.
He also expressed his wish that the Palestinian Embassy in Vietnam and Nhan Dan Newspaper will promote cooperation and increase informational exchanges as well as training courses on journalism skills and foreign languages.
Ambassador Saadi Salama hopes that Nhan Dan Newspaper will produce more interesting press works about the Palestinian country, people and culture in the near future.
