Vietnam, RoK promote cooperation in content industry

A workshop named "2023 KOCCA ROUND DAY" in both virtual and face-to-face forms in Hanoi, on September 6, to promote cooperation in the field of creative content between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, as well as to help Korean content businesses enter the Vietnamese market.

Organised by the Korea Creative Content Agency Vietnam Office (KOCCA VIETNAM), the webinar, themed 'Webtoon, drama and Vietnam', attracted about 100 participants, including both in-person and online participants.

At the event, the delegates had many discussions about the webtoon market in Vietnam as well as the application of webtoon in other fields.

Specifically, Director of KOCCA VIETNAM Hong Jeong Yong gave a presentation on the development of the content industry in Vietnam and opportunities for Korean businesses wanting to enter the Vietnamese market.

The conference provides an opportunity for Korean businesses to access more accurate information to facilitate entry into the Vietnamese Webtoon market.

The Vietnamese webtoon market has begun to gain attention and develop since 2015, with the development of the comic book market and digital technology, interactive web, and multi-platform applications.

It is known that the Korea Creative Content Agency, KOCCA VIETNAM is planning to organise its 3rd workshop on the character and game genre, and the 'Vietnam - Korea Copyright and Iconic Characters Festival' in Binh Duong from September 14 to 17.
