This is the second consecutive year that Metfone has accompanied the National Blood Transfusion Centre to carry out the meaningful “One drop of blood – millions of hearts” blood donation campaign.

The event received enthusiastic support from Metfone’s staff, including Vietnamese and Cambodian employees, as well as from the company’s partners. The collected blood units were stored at the National Blood Transfusion Centre to be ready to supply for emergency transfusions when needed.

Speaking to a Nhan Dan Newspaper correspondent in Cambodia, Nhong Dinthan, Deputy General Director for External Relations of Metfone, said that since its establishment, the company has always maintained a pioneering business philosophy closely linked with social responsibility, paying great attention to and caring for the well-being of the community.

Metfone’s leadership emphasised that the annual Blood Donation Day is organised regularly to help patients in urgent need of transfusions while also serving as a bridge to strengthen the solidarity and friendship between the governments and peoples of Viet Nam and Cambodia.

Viettel began investing in Cambodia in 2006 and officially launched the Metfone brand in 2009. Since then, it has gradually become one of the leading telecommunications businesses in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

In recent years, Metfone has actively organised and participated in charitable activities, including free heart surgeries for poor children, medical examinations and treatment for people in difficult circumstances, and support to find family members who went missing in the war.

“I was very excited to participate in today’s “One drop of blood – millions of hearts” blood donation programme organised by Metfone. I hope my small contribution can help the community. I always believe that one drop of blood given can save one life, and I hope our blood today will reach those who truly need it,” said Vo Hoang Thuan, Deputy Director of the Global Innovation Services (GIS), sharing his feelings at joining the event.

By the end of 2025, Metfone will continue to implement social activity programme, such as delivering Tet gifts to Vietnamese-origin Cambodians, visiting and presenting gifts to people in difficult circumstance.

Through these meaningful activities, Metfone’s leaders and staff hope to further spread the spirit of responsibility for the community, contributing to improving social life and local people’s living standards, as well as to nurture the enduring friendship and solidarity between the two neighbouring nations of Viet Nam and Cambodia.
