In his opening remarks, Nguyen Duy Tien, Chairman of the Vietnamese Veterans’ Club in Poland, conveyed profound gratitude to wounded and fallen soldiers, Heroic Vietnamese mothers, and all those who had rendered distinguished service to the revolution, independence, freedom, and reunification of the Fatherland.
He extended heartfelt thanks to the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland and members of the Overseas Vietnamese community, who had consistently shown support and accompanied the Club’s activities over the years.
Addressing the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai emphasised that Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day is an occasion for every Vietnamese, whether at home or abroad, to honour those who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence and peace.
The Ambassador affirmed that the immense sacrifices of earlier generations underpin Viet Nam’s present standing and developmental achievements.
He recognised the valuable contributions of the Vietnamese Veterans’ Club in Poland in safeguarding and promoting revolutionary traditions, whilst fostering a united and compassionate Vietnamese community.
He urged the younger generation within the Overseas Vietnamese community to uphold the nation’s finest values, live responsibly towards themselves, their families, and society, thereby enhancing the image of Vietnamese people in Poland.
Participants at the event observed a minute’s silence in memory of the fallen soldiers. They then enjoyed artistic performances and revolutionary songs celebrating the homeland, which further deepened the spirit of gratitude and national pride.
