Following the welcome ceremony, the two Ministers and their delegations took commemorative photos, capturing meaningful moments at this symbolic site of friendship, where both sides are working together to build a border of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.
On this occasion, Ministers Phan Van Giang and Dong Jun jointly planted a friendship tree. They also visited the friendship garden planted by the youth of both armies in the border gate area, demonstrating the strong commitment of the younger generations of both countries to preserving and promoting the Vietnam–China tradition of solidarity and friendship.
Continuing from the exchange activities held in China the previous day, the two Defence Ministers will take part in various events in Vietnam, including a visit to Dong Dang Primary School and the inauguration ceremony of a multifunctional building there; a visit to the Border Guard Post at Huu Nghi International Border Gate; and a tour of the Viettel Lang Son Logistics Park.
Subsequently, the two Ministers will co-chair a high-level meeting between delegations of the Ministries of National Defence of both countries at the Muong Thanh Hotel.
