Politburo member Thuong expressed his belief that the CPJ will continue reaping new achievements on the occasion of its upcoming 100th founding anniversary. He thanked the CPJ and Japanese peace lovers for providing support for Vietnam in the fight for national liberation and reunification in the past as well as national development at present.
Shii, for his part, stressed that ties between the two Parties over the past 55 years have made contributions to peace and friendship in Asia as well as friendship between the two nations.
He also believed that the CPV will successfully realise the Resolution adopted by the 13th National Party Congress.
Informing each other about situation of each Party and country, both sides agreed to promote ties between the two Parties and countries via regular sharing of experience in Party building, socio-economic development and cooperation among mass organisations.
On the occasion, Thuong thanked the Japanese Government, CPJ and Japanese socio-economic organisations and people for assisting Vietnam in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, especially in the supply of vaccines and medical equipment.
The two sides vowed to continue working closely together to strengthen peace, security and promote development in the region and the world, step up international cooperation in COVID-19 prevention and control, non-proliferation and disarmament of nuclear weapons, environmental protection, climate change response, and build a world order of peace in accordance with international law.
