This year, Vietnamese students brought home a total of 13 gold medals, 12 silver medals, 8 bronze medals and 5 certificates of merit.

Vietnamese teams continued to be among the top ten best performers.

Specifically, Vietnam ranked fourth at the International Math Olympiad 2022, fifth at the International Physics Olympiad, second at the Chemistry Olympiad, ninth at the biology event, third at the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad, and eighth at the Asian Physics Olympiad.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Huu Do said that the outstanding performance of the medallists has inspired students, teachers and the community to strive to enhance the knowledge of the people, train human resources, and nurture the country’s talents.

These outstanding achievements affirm the correct policies of the Party and State and the appropriate strategy of the Ministry of Education and Training over the years.

This is also a testament to the interest in directing and facilitating high efficiency in the development, selection and training of excellent students at all levels, including the national team of the education sector, to meet the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training.
