Fifteen best candidates attend final round of English Olympiad for young officials

The final round of the 4th English Olympiad for young officials took place in Hanoi on November 1 with the participation of the 15 best candidates, who had surpassed nearly 69,000 young civil servants and officials nationwide in the previous rounds.

The English Olympiad was launched in July 2022 for members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, young civil servants and officials from the armed forces aged 18-35.

The first round of the competition saw the participation of nearly 69,000 candidates. The 15 best candidates entered the final round on November 1, with the first prize presented to the X-Men team with contestants Vu Manh Tuan from the Vietnam Court Academy, Tran Ngoc Trung from Vietnam Airlines Corporation, and Le Manh Hung from the Signal Officers Training College.

The organiser also granted one second prize, one third prize and two consolation prizes to the other most outstanding candidates.

The English Olympiad held by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union aims to implement the project on “Improving English capacity for Vietnamese youth in the 2018-2022 period” in addition to promoting the spirit of studying English among young officials.
