Among those recognised were one doctoral graduate, 19 students graduating with distinction, seven first-prize winners at city-level gifted-student competitions, and 15 pupils with 12 consecutive years of outstanding academic results and awards from the district level upwards.
Launched in 2004, the award celebrates students with exceptional achievements in learning, research and personal development, while paying tribute to the late Acting President Huynh Thuc Khang.
For more than two decades, it has recognised over 1,500 outstanding students, becoming a respected symbol of the drive to promote learning and talent in the region, and a source of pride for generations of local families.
Huynh Thuc Khang was born on October 1, 1876 in Thanh Binh village, Tien Canh commune, Tien Phuoc district, Quang Nam province - today Thanh Binh commune, Da Nang City.
He was a steadfast patriot, a major cultural figure and a trusted associate of President Ho Chi Minh. He passed away on April 21, 1947. In 2012, he was posthumously awarded the Gold Star Order for his exceptional contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
